1. AFCEA Educational Foundation Scholarship: The AFCEA’s $2,000 General John A. 6. Intel Science Talent Search: These $100,000 computer science scholarships go to one lucky college student each year. Applicants must submit applications by November 17 for the following year.
7. UC/Edison International Scholarship Program: These $15,000 computer science scholarships are available to community college transfer students planning to finish B. S. degrees in computer science, engineering, life science, math, physical science or technology.
8. XEROX Technical Minority Scholarship Program: $10,000 computer science scholarships are available for minority students pursuing technology careers.
9. Upsilon Pi Epsilon Student Award for Academic Excellence: UPE offers several $500 scholarships to computer engineering students who excel in their national competition.
10. $2,000 Alice L. Haltom Educational Fund: These computer science scholarships are awarded in $2,000 increments for students working towards a bachelor’s degree and $1,000 increments for students working towards an associate’s degree.

The Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS) is an initiative by the Malaysian Government to attract the best brain from around the world to pursue advanced academic studies in Malaysia. This scholarship aims to support Malaysian Government’s effort to attract, motivate and retain talented human capital from abroad.
Talented international students with excellent academic records and outstanding co-curricular backgrounds are welcomed to apply for this scholarship and further their studies in any selected and well-established Malaysian public and private universities. This scholarship is divided into two (2) categories of study: Postgraduate and Post-doctoral Studies

Eligibility
To be eligible for Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS), applicants must fit the following criteria:-
  1. Not be more than 40 years of age during application.
  2. Obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a CGPA of 3.5/4.0 at Bachelor Degree Level for Masters Degree applicants and for PhD candidates must possess CGPA 3.5/4.0 or very good result at Masters degree level in a similar field of intended PhD study. In addition, for post-doctoral programme, the selection will be evaluated based on the number of books produced, refereed/non refereed journals, portfolio and patent copyright. The Post-Doctoral candidate must have excellent reputation in research and possesses knowledge related to the research to be carried out.
  3. Took one of the following English Language Proficiency Test not more than two years before the date of application. The list of tests and minimum scores required:
    1. IELTS Academic Test with a score of at least 6.5; or
    2. TOEFL paper-based test with a score of at least 580 or computer-based test with a score of at least 230 or internet-based test with a score at least 92.
  4. In excellent health condition and certified by a Certified Doctor/Medical Professional. The cost of medical examination is to be borne by the applicants.
  5. Wrote a proposal that is relevant to the needs and interests of Malaysia (research-based programme only).
  6. Has applied for and gained admission to postgraduate and post-doctoral studies in Malaysia (conditional letters of offer will be accepted at the time of application or has a confirmation of acceptance or affiliation with the universities in Malaysia).

The Deakin at Your Doorstep Learning and Development Scholarships 2013


The Deakin at Your Doorstep Learning and Development Scholarships aim to assist students studying the Associate Degree of Arts, Business and Sciences with the financial costs of further education.

Value

Cash payment of $500 per year

Duration

Two years subject to satisfactory academic performance.

One at each Deakin at Your Doorstep delivery site.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must be:
  • an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • a commencing student enrolled in the equivalent of full time study in the Associate Degree of Arts, Business and Sciences in a Commonwealth supported place.

Curtin CBS BiNus Scholarship 2013


The scholarships for international students and the scholarships will be provided to top 10 performing students (in CBS units) at BiNus who progress to Curtin Bentley in 2013. The scholarship for Undergraduate students

2013 Fujitsu-JAIMS Foundation Scholarships at Japan-America Institute of Management Science in USA


Fujitsu-JAIMS Foundation offers scholarships for postgraduate education and cross-cultural management training in the Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge program. The scholarship is to study at JAIMS, the Japan-America Institute of Management Science in Hawaii. Applicants must be a resident of the state of Hawaii, U.S.A., or a citizen of Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam. Scholarship Description: Fujitsu Limited established the Fujitsu International Scholarships Program in 1985 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its founding. The aim was to provide the opportunity for people from the Asia-Pacific region to contribute to the region through studying different values, cultures, and global business. This has been a Fujitsu’s key initiative for deepening the relationships between the countries and citizens of the Asia-Pacific region. This scholarship has since enabled 440 professionals from 18 countries to study cross-cultural management at JAIMS, the Japan-America Institute of Management Science, in Hawaii, U.S.A. The Fujitsu Scholarship provides full financial assistance for postgraduate education and cross-cultural management training in the Global Leaders for Innovation and Knowledge program by Fujitsu-JAIMS Foundation. The program has three and a half months curriculum. The participants will sharpen their global management knowledge and skills, and build the confidence necessary for success in global business situations.

Selection criteria: Selection is based on English proficiency (for non-native speakers of English), work experience, motivation, goals as expressed in the essay and interview, academic performance, and test scores. However, no single attribute outweighs others in the selection process, and strengths in one area may be used to offset weaknesses in another.

Announcing The Ibsen Scholarships 2013


The Ibsen Scholarships award innovative projects in the field of drama and performing arts that act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen and his plays.
Scholarship funds amount to NOK 1,000,000,- (approx. 135.000 Euro/180.000 US Dollars) will be awarded projects worldwide.
Scholarships are applicable to individuals, organizations or institutions within the artistic and cultural community.
The Ibsen Scholarships are awarded annually and the applications are subject to scrutiny by an appointed jury.
The Ibsen Scholarships were initiated by the Norwegian government and will be handed out for the 6th time in 2013.
Ibsen Awards has till now handed out 19 scholarships to projects in 15 different countries.

International Scholarships for Taught Masters Students, University of Kent, UK


The University has a long tradition of welcominginternational students from around the world and is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships for entry at taught masters level.
The scholarships will be worth £5000 (for one year of study) towards the cost of tuition fees and are offered to nationals of any country paying international fees.
ELIGIBILITY
  • Applicants for postgraduate taught study at the University of Kent may ask to be considered for one of the University’s International Scholarships.
  • In order to be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, all of the conditions 1 to 3 below must have been satisfied:
    1. an application must have been made for a degree course at the University of Kent.
    2. the applicant must have received an unconditional offer of a place on such a degree course.
    3. the University must have received confirmation of the applicant’s acceptance of the offer.
